I had the pleasure of capturing a fun wedding at the Ferry House Inn. This venue sits on the beautiful Harty Estate. Crystal and Arron chose to celebrate their special day in the new barn at the inn. The barn is modern and rustic, creating a charming setting for their ceremony.

Inside the barn, hoops hung from the ceiling. They added a lovely touch to the decor. The light filtered through the building, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was a perfect spot for Crystal and Arron to say their vows. Their joy and love filled the space. I focused on capturing these genuine moments, allowing their story to unfold naturally.

After the ceremony, and drinks reception we took some time for sunset photos by the sea. The colors were stunning. The golden light lit up their faces. We captured some beautiful memories against the backdrop of the water. These images reflect the magic of the day and the beauty of the Kent landscape.

The wedding was filled with laughter and love. Every detail was carefully thought out, yet the day felt relaxed. It was a true celebration of their journey together. Documenting these moments in a natural way is what I love most about my work.

Charlotte and Emily’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love. It took place at Port Lympne Zoo, a unique setting where you can get married in a beautiful courtyard, have dinner in an animal themed dining room and go on a safari all in one day. The day started in the Rhino Suite. This stylish room set the tone for the celebrations ahead. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as both brides got ready together.

The ceremony took place in the intimate courtyard. Here, the amazing pink flowers created a stunning backdrop. Friends and family gathered to witness the couple exchange vows. The love between Charlotte and Emily was clear for everyone to see.

After the ceremony, we went on a safari adventure. It was a chance for everyone to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The animals added a touch of magic to the day. It was a fun way to celebrate their new life together.

Later, they dined in the animal room. This unique space, surrounded by animal-themed decor, was perfect for the couple and their guests. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, filled with laughter and joy. Everyone enjoyed the really personal speeches.

As the evening progressed, we had a special photo dance to the song Fireball where everyone jumped in a photo with the brides.

Charlotte and Emily’s wedding at Port Lympne Zoo was a beautiful mix of love and adventure. The venue added a unique charm. It was a memorable day filled with laughter, love, and amazing moments.

Laura and Charlie had a beautiful wedding day. I spent the morning with Laura getting ready at The Pig hotel, I have never been here before but I will definitely go back! They chose a family garden for their celebration. The garden was bright and full of life. It set a lovely scene for their DIY tipi. The tipi was cozy and fun, decorated with flowers and lights.

The ceremony took place at the stunning Arundel Cathedral. The cathedral’s tall arches and stained glass were breathtaking. It created a grand backdrop for their vows. Friends and family gathered to witness the love between them.

After the ceremony, the celebration kicked off in the garden, everyone was sipping on Aperol spritz and snacking on the graze tables, Pizza trucks also arrived. A live band played and everyone joined in and danced for hours.

The bridesmaids looked stunning in their colorful dresses. Each dress was unique, adding joy to the day’s vibrant atmosphere.

We also had fun taking pictures in a classic Defender. The old vehicle added a rustic touch that matched the garden perfectly.

Their wedding was a true reflection of their joyful spirits. It was a lovely blend of tradition and personal touches. With the beautiful garden, delicious food, and great music, it was a day to remember. Seeing the happiness on their faces made capturing these moments even more special. This was a wedding full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Best of 2024

Kent Wedding Photography is what I photograph 90% of the time, the other 10% I travel around the UK and this year I travelled to Gibraltar and Spain to photograph weddings. 2024 – what a year, I travelled near and far to photograph so many amazing weddings. 2024 was also the year our dog Bauer sadly passed away at the age of 10. I ended my year giving birth to our little boy Ashton, completing our little family (I still can’t quite believe I have three boys!)

I’ve been lucky enough to work at some amazing venues this year, some of my personal favourites are Firle Place, Marleybrook House, The Cherry Barn and Cissbury Barns.

This DIY Garden Wedding in a Bohemia Canvas marquee was like a fairytale. Sarah & Tom planned every last detail of their wedding (that was held in Sarah’s parents garden in Buxted, Kent). Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready in the house, and Tom and his groomsmen got ready in an outbuilding, before heading to the local church (St Margaret’s in Buxted) for their ceremony.

Sarah wore her great grandmothers veil. An antique dating back hundreds of years, it looked stunning and it really did finish the look. Once the ceremony had finished we all headed back to Sarah’s parents house for the reception. The guests chatted and ate canapés in the garden before heading into the dinner. I have seen the Bohemia Canvas marquees a few times over the years and they really are spectacular. When the guests entered the marquee The Function Band were spread across the room on podiums (these guys are insane!) If you have a lively bunch of guests I highly recommend this band, the serenade guests throughout the meal, dance on tables and really get the party going.

Whenever I see The Function Band I have a smile across my face the entire time they’re playing because the guests genuinely love them. They play all the best songs but get the guests involved by going round the tables. I still remember the first time I saw the guys – I was blown away.

The Secret Garden Ashford Wedding venue is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding. Click here to see my list of favourite Kent wedding venues. Natalie and John styled the venue perfectly, and the flowers were honestly up there with my favourite wedding flowers of all time. The pinks and the greenery down the aisle made the venue look luxurious.

I started my day with Natalie at Eastwell Manor, they had a really relaxing morning getting ready before heading to The Secret Gardens in a fancy wedding car. I love that the ceremony was outside. It’s a must if you’re getting married at The Secret Gardens in summer. I love how the guests sit around the centre of the ceremony.

I have been to the Secret Gardens quite a few times over the year and it honestly always looks beautiful, but I was blown away by the flowers at Nat and Johns. And instantly regretting my own wedding flower choice! The light was perfect on the day.

After the ceremony the guests chatted outside at the drinks reception before heading into the dinner inside. The food at the Secret Garden is always fantastic, and it’s one of the only venues that have their own catering team. I think that’s a bonus of hiring a venue that was a restaurant before!

I had met Shella at a couple of weddings over the last 10 years and it was an honour when I received an email asking if I was available to photograph their Paxos Wedding. Shella & Patrick had met not long before covid and when the lockdowns began in the UK they decided to travel to Paxos so they could be together surrounded by sunshine and no restrictions. A few weeks in Paxos turned into a few months and it was an obvious choice for their wedding location a few years later as they had fallen in love with the location.

The venue was simply breathtaking, with a perfect view of the harbour. Shella & Patrick turned a pool area into the most enchanting ceremony location. It was like stepping into a fairytale. After the ceremony the guests all spent some time taking in the view and catching up with friends over a cocktail (or 5). We then made our way through the charming fishing village, following a local band playing guitars to the restaurant (Bouloukos Taverna) for the evening.

Destination weddings like these are always so special as so much planning and organisation has to go into them (not a problem for these guys as they are both events organisers). Being able to showcase the beauty of Paxos through my lens was a true privilege. The island’s perfect beaches, charming buildings, and stunning landscapes provided the perfect backdrop for Shella & Patrick’s classy wedding.

My aim when photographing weddings is to capture the guests emotions, every smile, tear, and all the laughter. Shella & Patricks wedding was definitely not lacking in smiles and tears of joy!

Paxos is the perfect location for a wedding, from the moment I arrived on the island, I could see why they chose it as the location for their unforgettable destination wedding.

I absolutely love being a Firle Place Wedding Photographer. Sally and Adam were married at Firle Place in Lewes. It is a wedding venue that I think is both classy and fun. This was my first visit to Firle, and I will be honest I hadn’t seen many photos online of the wedding venue. Wow. I was blown away when I started driving down the drive and saw the house. I fell in love with the giant blue doors and the Italy-esque outdoor wedding ceremony area. Once I had fallen in love with the ceremony location I found my way to the wedding reception room. Sayyyy wahhhhht.

The venue is basically Italy, mixed with a quirky London warehouse. I’m in love and I would happily shoot there every week! (It did help that Sally and Adam were super cool and a dream to photograph- as were their guests) Oh and by the way isn’t Sally the most beautiful pregnant bride?

I’m ho happy these guys chose the beautiful fine confetti for their wedding. I have a little post here that goes into more detail about the different types of confetti available. They also used Blue Door Weddings to run their wedding day. These wedding coordinators are nothing short of magicians, and they truly helped create Sally and Adams wedding of dreams.

About Firle Place Wedding Venue

Firle Place is a Private Estate and holds exclusive weddings. It’s such a stunning setting and includes use of the historic house and grounds. Firle Place is actually where the film adaption Emma was recorded, as well as the latest series of Bridgerton. I really love that Firle Place wedding venue can hold up to 225 guests for a wedding reception and offers catering and a wedding license, meaning you can hold your entire wedding in one place and come away legally married.

Look how happy these two are to be married, (with baby number one on the way) at the beautiful country estate in East Sussex. It actually has two sections, an old British Manor House that you can have your ceremony inside if it rains, and behind it a converted Georgian Riding school. In the summer you can get married in the stunning private courtyard behind the big blue doors.

It was sunny all day, with perfect wedding weather. There was a surprise wedding guest (or two) in the form of alpacas. I can’t say I have seen alpacas at a wedding before, but I certainly hope it’s not the last time!
